Halloween 2010

Halloween 2010 was full of smiles, laughs, excitement and activities. Adam sported his Fireman Costume this year with full turnouts, rubber boots, jacket and hat. Even had a red thermal undershirt to match. It started for Adam on Wednesday before Halloween Trunk'r Treating with cousing Danika and Jordan in Yuba City. On Halloween we took Adam to meet up with the Schmidts for more Trunk'r Treating at a local church where he got to go down a huge slide, play games including golf, soccer goal and T ball batting. Adam also got to go on a pony carriage ride with cousin Dara. Then we met up with the Whiteakers, Duffy's, Buttler's, Green's and Niswonger's for door to door treating. Had a great dinner and ended the night with a very happy tired boy. It was a great year and lot's of memories were made.

Tux Man

So Adam was in his first wedding (no not his parents). His aunt Sammy and uncle Travis got married on 2/27/10 and Adam was a ring bearer w/ flower girl brynlee. The two were a pair and a hit. Separate they are adorable kids, but together,they were the talk of the weddding.....

2nd Birthday- 2010

So adam turned 2 on 7-11-10 and we had the usual little (hehehe) party for him. This year it was at the ranch in chico. Lots of friends and family were there, except those outta towner's that we missed. I won't mention any names (Addington's). He had pools, bounch houses and bounch waterslides for all the kids to entertain themselves. So adam was blessed with a green John Deer tractor/trailer from GMA/GPA Simpson,

and daddy......Well he decided for something a litle bigger....


Although, he loves his motor machines.... he received lots of other GREAT gifts. We want to thank everyone for making Adam's 2nd birthday fun and fabulous.

GrandParents Ice Cream Social

Well Adam started pre-school after his 2nd birthday in July 2010 at New Adventures Pre-School in YC and totally loves it. They recently had their school pix's taken and he looks so grown up. Bryan and I often wonder how we got so lucky...

Thanksgiving 2009

Well, we did it, traveled to both grandparents house for festivities on Thanksgiving. This is the first ever for Bryan and I to actually have Thanksgiving Day off together. WOW, what an accomplishment. We visited Grandparents Simpson for a wonderful breakfast then traveled up the hill to Grandparents Leslie for a HUGE Thanksgiving feast. There were 27 family members at my parents house for the dinner. It was crazy, 3 babies under 2 years old....what more to say. For my dad, this was a very emotional day. He had both is children (Chris and Kent), most of the grandkids and most of the great-grand kids all in one house. Congrats to Dad!!!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

Well, this week Bry and I took adam to Bishops Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland. What an adventure that was. Aunty Cece and Uncle Josh and cousins joined us. We had a fabulous fun filled day of petting zoo, train ride, hay ride, picked pumpkins and delicious deserts. The kids did great, the parents were tired and the weather was beautiful. This trip was extra special because Bryan had never been to Bishops and it was a year for starting traditions. I've always gone to Bishops as a kid so to be able to share that with my child and hubby was so fulfilling for me. Enjoy some of the special moments we shared.

Adam Robert and 1st Bday

Were to begin, Adam turned one on July 11, 2009, got first major head bang on 7/31 and first hair cut on 8/3/9. Been busy month for the Simpson clan. thanks to everyone who came out for Adam's bday party, huge Pinotta-the kids loved it, great family and friends, food and cake... OH the cake..Adam enjoyed his cake but not the hose down afterward...not so much...lol...He had a great time, got to play with all the kids and thank you all for the wonderful gifts..

2009 already sucks!!!

Well, our lil man turned 6 months old and was admitted into the hospital on 1/12/9 Monday (1 day after 6 mnth bday) for RSV and bronchitis. We spent the night with Adam hooked up to an IV in his lil foot and had a temp of 101.5. He actually did really well, everyone kept commenting that he was the healthiest looking sick baby they'd seen in a long time.

We got out the next morning and while putting Adam in the car, I stepped off the curb to be more level with the SUV and twisted my ankle (out in front of the hospital). So after an emotional let down, bryan drove me around the parking lot to the ER enterance where is mom (she's a nurse in the ER) was waiting with a wheelchair. I felt like such an idiot. So after a few x-rays, some motrin, ice pack and ace bandage, i was released with crutches and told to stay down for atleast 24 hours....hahaha..ya right, I have a sick kid at home...like that was going to happen. Thankfully it was not the bone(ankle) it was the tendon's and blood vessels above the bone. By Friday I was returning to work after my elbow surgery in Nov. and daddy was babysitting Adam.

Bryan did such a great job with dealing with the hospital visit, Adam's illness, my stupidity and taking Adam to the doctor by himself on Friday. I love that man.

Lil man is doing much better, off all the antibiotics (oh ya, he also got an ear infection at the same time), eating better, playing and sleeping much better (all nite...yippie). Mommy and Daddy are both back to work and doing great.

Hopefully, Feb 2009 will be better month for the the Simpson household.

Generations

Bryan's grandfather Bob (steve's dad), had a birthday couple weeks back and we were able to get a 4 generation photo, it was so exciting to see Bob interact with Adam, Bryan and his dad.

It made my heart warm.

Adam's first xmas 08

well, we have almost made it through xmas 08. one more stop on sunday at gma/gpa simpson's for food and festivities. Bryan has been working all week so lil man and me spent xmas eve at aunt cece's, xmas morning bright and early opening presents with daddy and then to gma/gpa winfree for breakfast and visiting, then home for the night. And of course, lil man made out like a bandit everywhere we went, althought, i can't complain because its all about him now. Mommy and daddy did good also so all is well. check out adam's first xmas gift opening session...it's so cute.

Lil man is out on an escursion to gma/gpa leslie's. he will be home on sunday.

we got his first xmas pics done the other day and it was so great, he was in, out and sleeping within 30 minutes of arrival. he is such a ham when the camera comes out...crazyness...he get's that from his dad.

as the days go by

12/10/08: Wednesday: Adam spend the night with gma/gpa simpson so bry & I could have some adult time. we went to dinner at Sierra Nevada in Chico then to the graduate (bar) for a drink. Came home to go help out some of bry's l.o. fire buddies get their vehicle out of the river in l.o. those kids would be dangerous if they had a brain...had a great time, laughed almost until I pee'd my pants. crazy kids.

picked up lil man this morning and spen the day hang'g around the house, playing and such. adam is sitt'n in my lap holding on to my hands as I type...staring at the key board. he's doing great and gett'n big.

baby marlee is almost here. momma is doing great and dilating normally...can't wait to see her.

well, bry goes back to work tomorrow and with my surgery only couple weeks ago, lil man will go to nanna & poppa leslies for a vacation from mom i'm sure. will miss him but gives my arms a much needed break.

Adam

Our lil man has come so far in the months since birth. He arrived to us on 7-11-08 with smiles and love. Adam has been a joy to watch and love to everyone who interacts with him. He has wonderful grandparents who love and adore him, spoil, cherish, and fawn over him. He has aunts and uncles who do the same. For his dad and I this is a blessing, we are both only children and to see him being loved by so many is the greatest gift our family will ever give.

Adam is now almost 5 months old, steadily sitting up on his own, laughing, giggling, talking, eating his feet, hands and anything else he can get in his lil mouth. He rolls from side to side and even rolled from back to front for his daddy the other day. He loves to go for walks in his cadillac stroller with grandma stacy, sit and stear at grandpa steve, have morning coffee and read the paper with grandpa dave and be rocked by grandma sherrie and most of all he loves his only great grandma joyce who enjoys quality time with him. He loves to watch cartoons, play with his floor gym, sit in his eistein jump seat and be talked to and loved by mommy and daddy.

He has so much to explore and learn and with all the wonderful teachers in his life, he will flourish from all the different generations in his life.

So while vacationing during the thanksgiving holiday, i was introduced to "blogspot.com" because I wanted to create a page for my family to share and keep current on things going on. I hope everyone can finagle this page and we will all have a great time. Grandparents can add post when Adam is vacationing from his parents at his chico/grass valley hide away location and mom & dad can tell all the "poopy" details. Friends and other family feel free to join in on the fun.
